This comprehensive workshop, for people of all ages and all levels of experience, provides an overview of the basic yoga postures and of the styles of yoga available. In this 2 1/2-hour course you will learn physical poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), spiritual philosophy and meditation. Poses are broken down and extra time is taken to learn basic principles of alignment and breath awareness. This workshop is also beneficial for advanced students who wish to gain a more thorough understanding of yoga, those returning to yoga after not practicing for a time, and those with injuries who would like to practice safely. Wear comfortable clothing for moving and stretching. Yoga mats and props are provided, or bring your own. Workshop fee $35.00*
